THE KEY TO START YOUR ONLINE BUSINESS!

THE KEY TO START YOUR ONLINE BUSINESS!

Are you excited about starting your online business? After having an idea about how to create digital art that sells passively, how to price your artwork and where to sell it, it’s time now to make an online startup plan for your business.

In this post, I have summarised all the necessary information you need to know to launch your online business. So, without wasting more time, let’s get started:

1. What are you selling?

Knowing what you’ll be selling is the first step in building a strong platform for your business. It is always crucial to focus on one area of art as a beginning. After getting along with setting up your business, you can expand your services.

2.  Who are you selling to?

The perfect answer for this question is not everybody. You need to have specific customer target so that you can study how your customer think and behave. This way, you can gain your customer’s loyalty and appreciation toward your art.

How can you know who are your customers? Easy! Create a Customer Persona for your artwork. You can do this by answering the following questions: what is their name? where do they live? What do they do for living? What do they read? their interests? You can collect this information from your social media accounts by having the insight of your followers.

Maybe your customers are:

* Restaurant owner who wants to add a touch of modern art into his/ her place.

* Cool couple who buy art printed on Mugs, Pillows or even T-shirts.

3.  Where will you be selling your art online?

There are a wide range of websites where you can sell and promote for your artwork, and I’ve detailed this in my previous blog post. Visit my post and discover 20 interesting places you can be selling your art in it easily.

Make sure to choose a packaging which is cohesive with your brand image, Eco-friendly. creative and memorable. After that, calculate how much each item costs you and add it to the shipping costs of each art piece.

6. Create your page and start a mailing list:

You need a page and a mailing list to keep in touch with your customers and keep them updated about your new artworks.

While you do so, tell people stories behind these artworks and what inspires you more as an artist. People are always hungry for stories! And don’t forget to share this in your social media accounts ( Check out my social media accounts :  Instagram, facebook and Twitter and follow me there! )
